Failure Scenarios
A core part of understanding vSphere HA and ActiveCluster is understanding how vSphere and ActiveCluster respond to failures. These failures are separated into two broad categories:
- Storage access lost. This could be due to the storage array failing, a pod going inactive, or loss of connectivity.
- Host failure. This could be due to the physical host failing, the hypervisor crashing, or network partitioning of the host.
