Nutanix VM and Disk Identifier Exposure on Pure Volumes
Cisco Intersight Integration 1.9 Nutanix VM and Disk Identifier Exposure on Pure Volumes Release 1.9 of Intersight now incorporates Nutanix-provisioned tags from Pure volumes. This enhancement makes the Nutanix tagging key identifiers available as native fields within the storage PureVolume object.
Key Nutanix Identifiers
The following fields are now populated from the Pure array's Nutanix integration tag namespace.
| Intersight Field | Sourced From Nutanix Tag | Description |
|---|---|---|
| NxVmId |
owner_id
|
Nutanix Virtual Machine (VM) UUID / external ID |
| NxVmDiskId |
owner_disk_id
|
Nutanix Disk UUID / external ID |
Benefits
Direct Correlation: Easily link Pure volumes back to the specific Nutanix VM and disk that owns them.
Simplified Filtering: Use standard Intersight filters to quickly query volumes (e.g., find all volumes for a specific Nutanix VM).
Behavior
If a Pure volume does not have the required Nutanix tags, the corresponding NxVmId and NxVmDiskId fields will remain empty. This behavior was confirmed in Release 1.9 validation.
