NKP Multi-Cluster Considerations

NKP supports deploying management and workload clusters across different AHV clusters managed by the same Prism Central instance.

For example:

• AHV Cluster A → Hosts the NKP Management Cluster

• AHV Cluster B → Hosts one or more NKP Workload Clusters

This allows separation of management and workload infrastructure and enables different FlashArray storage backends per AHV cluster.

FlashArray Connectivity Model

• Each AHV cluster supports integration with only one FlashArray for external storage.

• All CSI-provisioned Volume Groups in that AHV cluster are backed by that FlashArray.

• A single FlashArray can be connected to multiple AHV clusters.

• Multiple AHV clusters may share the same FlashArray, or each may use a different FlashArray.

Not supported:

• A single AHV cluster leveraging multiple FlashArrays simultaneously for CSI provisioning.
