Who is the target audience for the PEAK and the GE exams?

All Everpure certification exams are open to any Everpure employee, partner, or customer.

• GE architecture exams are available to all audiences, however our training content is targeted to internal Everpure employees and partners who are technical sellers.
• The PEAK architect exam targets IT architects (Pure employees, partners, customers, and the general public) with an emphasis in storage.

What is the difference in scope of the exams?

• The FlashArray and FlashBlade Architect Associate and Architect Professional exams assess candidates’ knowledge of the Everpure portfolio and associated market differentiation with an emphasis on product positioning and qualifying solutions for technical pre-sales roles. These exams offer a deep-dive on Everpure technologies, architectures, and relevant customer use cases across the Everpure platform.
• PEAK’s Platform Architect Expert exam assesses a candidate’s knowledge needed to optimize the full potential of Everpure’s platform. In addition to covering product specific content, the exam covers a breadth of knowledge across the entire Pure platform (e.g., FlashArray, FlashBlade, Portworx, Pure1, Evergreen, CBS) and incorporates a wide array of third-party technology.

Which Pure products are covered on each exam?

Please refer to the table below to see which Pure products are covered on each exam.

^* Examples of third-party technologies covered are VMware AWS, Azure, Veeam, Brocade, OpenMetrics, AIX, Kafka, Cisco, Netbackup, Microsoft, Linux, Redhat, LVM, etc.

Is there a recommended progression between the various Architect exams?

No, each exam is standalone for its level.

Due to the scope of the exams, it is NOT recommended to take the GE associate or professional level architect exams prior to taking the PEAK expert architect exam (or vice versa). The target audience and content for the GE pre-sales exams is different. Additionally, the recommended training and resources for the GE architect exams do not overlap with the PEAK platform architect exam.

Are there prerequisites for any of the exams?

There are no mandatory prerequisites for any PEAK or GE exam. However, there are recommended training and certifications prior to taking specific exams. Refer to the table below and associated study guides for recommended exam preparation for each architect exam.

Where do I sign-up for training?

• GE training links are provided in the corresponding study guide (linked in the table above)
• Due to the breadth, depth, and required experience, the PEAK Platform Architect exam does not have a dedicated cert-prep training course. However, you can find links to the recommended prerequisite training and helpful study materials in the study guide.

What is the voucher policy for PEAK certification exams?

• PEAK (IT Professional Certifications)
  • Employees: All Everpure employees are eligible to receive vouchers to complete the PEAK certifications.
  • Partners: All Pure Partners are eligible to request a voucher for the first-attempt for any exam of their choosing. All other attempts are for purchase.
  • Customers: Customers are not eligible for exam vouchers. All customers can purchase a certification exam from the ExamStudio shop front.

How do I request a voucher as an employee or for my partner?

To request a voucher, Everpure employees should submit a PERC ticket. Everpure partners should email certadmin@everpuredata.com with their request.

What is the Pure Platform Positioning (PPP) Certificate Exam?

The PPP is designed to complement the FlashArray Architect Associate and FlashBlade Architect Associate certifications. As a certificate (not a full certification), this exam is designed to cover aspects of platform messaging and platform knowledge, rather than certify comprehensive product knowledge across the platform.

Platform Solutions Associate (PSA) Certification?

This is a combined credential– by passing the Pure Platform Positioning (PPP) exam as well as the FlashArrary Architect Associate (FAAA) and FlashBlade Associate (FBAA) certification exams, you will receive the Platform Solutions Associate (PSA) certification. Achieving this certification validates you have the technical knowledge to effectively position Everpure solutions at the Associate level.
