Release: December 2016
New in this Release
- IPv6 support This feature allows the plugin to accept IPv6 addresses for FlashArrays and vCenter Servers. IPv4 is also supported. When an IPv6 IP address is configured in the vROps Management Pack, the address must be entered enclosed in square brackets. For example: [2015:0db8:85a3:0042:1000:8a2e:0360:7334]
- RBAC (Role Based Access Control) This feature allows the admin to limit the plugin operations that specified users can access. In addition, it allows the admin to determine which users can access the FlashArrays that are configured in the plugin. By default, RBAC is disabled. To turn on the feature, use the lock icon is available in the vCenter FlashArray list view.
-
Unmap Datastore This feature makes space reclamation possible when VMDKs are deleted or migrated from thinly provisioned VMFS datastore. Two new actions are added to the datastore objects:
- The action “Run Datastore Space Reclamation” allows the admin to run space reclamation for the selected FlashArray datastore immediately.
- The action “Schedule Datastore Space Reclamation” allows the admin to create or delete a schedule of running space reclamation.
- Add a Host Group on FlashArray A new action is added to the cluster objects called “Add FlashArray Host Group”. The action allows the admin to add the selected cluster to the FlashArray as a hostgroup.
