Appliance Requirements
- The OVA must be deployed on vCenter Server 6.5 U3 or higher.
- The OVA must have access to Pure1 to support appliance and application upgrade queries and tasks with
puresw.
- Specifically access to
deb.cloud-support.purestorage.com via port 443 is required.
- The OVA is deployed with 4 vCPU and 8 GB of Memory. The vSphere Environment will need to support a VM of that size.
What's New?
- Add the option to configure the OVA as a vSphere Client Remote Plugin.
- Fixed the issue that UnicodeEncodeError was logged when run puresw upgrade.
- Multiple OVA Libraries were updated.
Resolved Issues
-
puredns and
purenetwork no longer have issues following puresw upgrade workflows.
Known Issues
- When deploying additional OVAs to the same DHCP Network, both VMs will be given the same IP Address. Everpure recommends using Static IP addresses if deploying more than one OVA to the same DHCP Network until this is fixed in a future release.
- At this time NTP Server selection is static to time1.purestorage.com time2.purestorage.com and time3.purestorage.com. Access to these ntp servers is required for the OVA to sync it's NTP service.
- When deploying the OVA to vCenter Server 7.0 U2 or higher a warning will display that the certificate is untrusted. This is not an issue with the OVA certificate signing, but rather VMware changed the certificate validation process to only approve certificates signed by Authorities in the vCenter's Trusted Root store. See VMware's KB on the matter for more information.
