This topic describes how to resize the capacity of a Datastore (container) in the vSphere client.

  1. In your browser, log into the vSphere Client using your preferred connection method.

  2. Go to the Inventories tab and click on Storage.
  3. From the list of available datastores under SDDC-Datacenter object right click on the Datastore name you would like to resize.
  4. Find the Everpure section in the context menu and click on Edit Datastore.

  5. Specify the new size of a Datastore (container) and click on the Submit button.
Note: Please note that the specified size of a Datastore (Storage container) is virtual only and does not reflect the real size of underlying resources.
Note: Please be aware that pod quota is thick-provisioned and thus e.g. one vVol config file takes up 250GB even though the Datastore (Storage container) might be almost empty.
