Everpure Cloud Dedicated for Azure is your self-managed, enterprise-grade block storage solution on Azure. Powered by the Purity Operating System it delivers consistent data services across your on-premises and cloud environments. You can use your existing storage operations, management workflows, and APIs without needing to re-architect applications for the cloud.

Key Benefits

  • Hybrid Cloud Consistency: Seamlessly manage storage using familiar FlashArray operations (GUI, CLI, and APIs) across on-premises and Azure environments.

  • Enterprise-Grade Data Services: Get advanced features like data reduction, snapshots, clones, encryption, QoS, and replication directly in Azure.

  • Maximum Resiliency: Protect mission-critical apps with RAID-HA protection, and built-in replication across zones or regions.

  • Cost Efficiency: Reduce your cloud storage costs with better efficiency from thin provisioning, inline deduplication, and compression.

Audience & Use Cases

  • Who it's for: Infrastructure and application teams seeking enterprise block storage for Azure with consistent operations across hybrid and multi-cloud settings.

  • Key Use Cases:

    • Migrate or extend workloads between on-premises and Azure without re-architecting.

    • Provide high-performance block storage for Azure.

    • Implement disaster recovery, migration, backup, or test/dev workflows using native replication and snapshots.

    • Host mission-critical applications requiring predictable performance and superior data services beyond standard cloud disks.

How it Works

  1. Deploy: Launch the managed application in your Azure VNet within a supported region.

  2. Provision: Azure sets up the core components: dual controller VMs and managed disks for NVRAM and persistent storage.

  3. Data Services: Purity-based controllers activate features like deduplication, compression, encryption, and replication.

  4. Connect & Manage: Your Azure VMs connect to the service, and you manage volumes using standard FlashArray tools.

  5. Scale & Resiliency: Scale the deployment non-disruptively and integrate it with cross-zone or cross-region replication for enhanced resiliency.

Prerequisites

Core requirements

  • Supported Azure region, IAM roles, and a prepared VNet/subnets.

  • Sufficient Azure vCPU quota.

  • Valid licensing (Evergreen//One, Azure Marketplace, or timed trial) and your subscription ID approved in Pure1.

  • Microsoft Entra ID Premium P2 for versions 6.5.0 and earlier.

Network and connectivity requirements

  • Outbound internet access from the required subnet (e.g., via NAT Gateway or Azure Firewall).

  • Required Azure service endpoints on the subnet (including Key Vault and Microsoft Storage).

Platform and support matrix

  • Validated for version 6.8.7, supporting V10 (UltraSSD/R1) and V20 (Premium SSD v2/R2) and V50 model families.

  • Capacity and performance vary by model and version.

Note: Always check the latest deployment documentation for current supported regions, quotas, models, and requirements.

Deployment

To get started in Azure:

  1. Access the Azure Marketplace deployment listing or subscription listing for the service.

  2. To start the deployment, launch the managed application into your target Azure VNet.

  3. Input the required subscription, networking, and licensing details (refer to prerequisites).

  4. After deployment, connect Azure VM hosts and start managing storage using the familiar FlashArray GUI, CLI, or APIs.
