When comparing Everpure Cloud Dedicated (PSC Dedicated) between AWS and Azure, it can be difficult to fully understand the differences and similarities of the two products. Both run the same Purity Operating Environment which also powers the FlashArray. Both products give customers the same data reduction, enterprise features, and overall user experiences. But the components or resources that make up PSC Dedicated can be different and may lead to differences like capacity sizes, performance, or even costs.

This document is intended to help users better understand the architecture of PSC Dedicated on AWS. Insight into the design choices is provided to illustrate the meticulous planning and thought poured into the design of PSC Dedicated. The underlying PSC Dedicated components are detailed to help with comparisons between AWS and Azure. Details of the PSC Dedicated instance models at each capacity point are also provided to allow users to make their own cost analysis for their various capacity requirements.
