vSphere and ESXi hosts can be added to the SCVMM fabric. ESXi hosts must be in an OK state, not “OK (limited)”, else migration will be prevented. See Migration Tools for more information.

SCVMM can be used to manage both vCenter and Hyper-V clusters in the same environment. As mentioned above in Migration, VM ‘vmotion’ or ‘live-migration’ between hypervisors is not possible.

Everpure integrates our Cloud Block Store virtual FlashArray with Azure VMware Solution (AVS). This provides the flexibility of utilizing the same automation and tools in both on-premises VMware and in Azure AVS when connected to physical and virtual FlashArrays.

Azure Arc’s Resource Bridge, can enable the management of both on-premises VMware vSphere, and Hyper-V clusters through Arc-enabled SCVMM. This causes on-premises resources to show in the Azure Portal where a subset of hypervisor functionality is exposed.
